Perverted by Language is the sixth studio album by English Post-punk band The Fall, originally released in Considering The Fall's back catalogue of hit and miss - one can be safely assured that any Fall album post and pre is a keeper. Nothing is as raw, esoteric or as rewarding as listening to The Fall/5(24).
  2. Gardar says:
The Fall returned to Rough Trade in to release a pair of singles and Perverted By Language, their sixth proper studio album. Perverted By Language hints at the band's shift towards a distinctly pop approach, one that they would perfect via their Beggars Banquet output that immediately followed. Yet again, the force and panic of their initial Rough Trade recordings /5(24).

Jan 25,  · referencing Perverted By Language, Exp + CD, Album, RE + CD, Comp, CMQDD The Fall are one of my favorite 80's wave bands. Specially up to every release is fantastic and different. Perverted By Language is a complete and easy listening record for any music lover/5().
  6. Faetilar says:
This album finds the Fall circumventing preconceived notions about punk, be it post-punk or otherwise. Tempos slow down unexpectedly and chords ring out and drone for extended periods of time before collapsing, while Mark E. Smith is spitting out his own skewed take on pop songs like "The Man Whose Head Expanded" and the galloping "Kicker.
  7. Dur says:
‘Perverted by Language’ is (like any other 80’s Fall album) an album of intricacy. An album not even Smith could explain to an individual. What is very intelligible, however, is the always minimalist approach and often underrated musicianship of each member of The Fall.4/5.
